On June 11, 2009 an unprecedented delegation of 100 Congolese Women from Montreal, Ottawa-Gatineau, and Toronto will come to Parliament Hill for a day of action, hosted by BC Senator Mobina Jaffer. The women are here to share their stories and raise awareness about the impact of war and violence of women and children in East Congo. Senator Jaffer together in partnership with Members of Parliament Dr. Keith Martin (Lib), Paul Dewar (NDP), Justin Trudeau (Lib) and Johanne Deschamps (BQ) will hold a news conference to discuss this day of action and their initiatives in the Congo with the media at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 11th, 2009 at the National Press Theatre, 150 Wellington Street.
